After many wonderful years of sweet and savory community showcases, Horizon Sunrise Rotary is officially retiring our annual A La Mode event for 2027 and beyond.
We are immensely grateful to the incredible local chefs, generous sponsors, hardworking volunteers, and community members who attended and helped raise so much money for Mesa County non-profits and early literacy programs.
While A La Mode is coming to a close, our work in the Grand Valley isn’t slowing down! We are already planning an exciting, fresh new event coming in Q3 2027.
Thank you for years of support, and stay tuned for what’s on the horizon!
From 2009 through 2026, A La Mode brought together Mesa County’s finest culinary talent and dessert enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening. Attendees sampled bite-sized creations prepared by top local chefs and voted for their favorites to crown the best dessert in Grand Junction.
Hosted by the Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club, every ticket sold directly funded community grants, youth literacy programs, and local non-profit initiatives across the Grand Valley.
100% of event proceeds stay local. Through A La Mode, Horizon Sunrise Rotary has supported vital community organizations and youth programs, including:
Mesa County Imagination Library, 1st Grade library cards, Rotary Youth Exchange & Leadership Awards (RYLA), Riverside Education Center, and more.
Community Food Bank, Clifton Christian Church Food Bank, Sleep In Heavenly Peace, Friends of Youth & Nature, PrimeHealth+, and more.
Museums of Western Colorado, JUCO Team Host, RiversEdge West, Uproot Colorado, and more.
